What to bring - bear hunt

Whether you are a seasoned hunter or visiting us for your first bear hunting adventure, here is a list of items that we recommended you to bring to have a successful and fun hunting experience at Horwood Lake Lodge.

• Warm hunting boots

• Blaze orange and vest for traveling to stand

• Flashlight and batteries

• Seat cushion

• Safety belt/harness

• Weapon and ammo

• Weapons case

• Cover scent

• Camera

• Coolers and large clear bags for meat transport

• ATV and helmet

• Ropes, come along for retrieval

• Reciprocating saw for quartering

• Knives for skinning and quartering

• Fishing gear for after your hunt

• Food and beverages (with housekeeping plan)

• Personal towel and toiletries

It is also recommended to bring 1 vehicle per every 3 or 4 hunters - capable of off road driving (rough logging roads). ATV’s highly recommended.
